We will send you a link to our Google Drive where you can watch available casting and fitting videos, and download Evaluation & Referral forms specific to the body region involved.

If you are uncertain which orthosis would be appropriate, we can discuss the options with you. These suggestions will be based on the diagnosis as well as the physical symptoms exhibited by the patient. Pictures and video may be requested. Video conferencing can be arranged.

Patients with amputated limbs may or may not be a candidate for wearing a prosthesis. Please contact us to discuss the requirements. Pictures, radiographs and the ability to video conference will be needed.

It is important to review the casting information before booking the patient for this procedure. You will need materials readily available. Casting kits can be purchased from us, if required, with two shipping methods depending on how quickly you need the materials.

Recommended materials:
  • Fiberglass casting bandage, semi-rigid is recommended, such as 3M Soft Cast or Delta Soft
  • Stockinette
  • Cutting Guide
  • Cast cutting scissors
  • Gloves
  • Bowl and water
  • Tape
  • Marker or indelible pencil
  • Dog treats if not using sedation
Casting kits are sold with enough cast bandage to make two castings, stockinette and cutting guide.
